Amid the uprisings in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, US Customs and Border Protection flew a predator drone over the city of Minneapolis to surveil the events on the ground from 20,000 feet in the sky. Footage captured by the drone was made available through a Freedom of Information Act request in 2020. Using the 72-minute drone footage in its entirety as a framework, the film features an interdisciplinary chorus of voices including poets, musicians, and scholars.
